3Y Author Visit - Joanna Donnelly

Ms Joanna Donnelly is a meteorologist, broadcaster and author and has written The Great Irish Weather Book. Irish people love talking about the weather and this fantastic book answers all our questions such as ‘Why is the Sky Blue?’ or ‘How is a Rainbow formed?’

Her most recent publication, From Malin Head to Mizen Head, published in 2023, takes readers on a journey around Ireland's Sea Area Forecast.

Both books were shortlisted at Irish Book Awards (2018 and 2023) and would make a wonderful present for any teenager or adult.

It was a very enjoyable talk and very informative, all attendees received some very useful tips on sustainability and how we, the people, can directly impact the weather.
